Laura Ramirez is the author of the award -winning book, "Keepers of the Children." The book uses native ideas to teach parents how to raise children to discover who they are and what their strengths are as they are growing up. With her unique perspective, she illustrates that parenting is just as much about the parent's growth and development as it is about the child's and reveals the many opportunities for personal growth of the parent. Laura is an insightful and compassionate teacher who uses story to illustrate her points.
 
Laura has a degree in psychology and is the publisher of "Family Matters Parenting Magazine." She's written hundreds of articles on parenting and relationships and lives with her husband and two children in the sage-dotted foothills of Northern Nevada.
