  • Weight is now approximately four times the original weight at birth; toddler weighs nearly 26 to 32 pounds (11.8 -14.5 kg); gains 1/3 to 1/2 pound (0.1-0.2 kg) per month.

  • Height is nearly one-half of approximate adult height; grows approximately 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) during the next six months. Average height is 32 to 33 inches (81-84cm).

  • Eruption of teeth is nearly complete; second molars appear for a total of 20 teeth.

  • Head circumference increases slowly by 1/2 inch (1.3 cm) over the next six months.

  • Heart rate (pulse) is 80 to 110.

  • Respirations are approximately 20 to 35 breaths per minute.
